Executive Director, Education and Human Resources
As GTI’s Executive Director of Education & Human Resources, Jeremy Otahal leads the team in providing HR support to various offices nationwide and directs its programs and initiatives in talent acquisition, workforce and succession planning, learning and development, employee relations, rewards and benefits, grade level structure, contract negotiation, and HR compliance. He also oversees GTIs external education and training business. This business line is accountable for training industry professionals with over 75 classes, conferences and events each year.
Throughout his career, Otahal has led initiatives in streamlining HR and recruitment processes, reducing program costs, implementing new training and development systems, enhancing company value through refinement of employee total rewards package, increasing employee benefits and positional movement, and developing new policies and processes.
Otahal joined GTI in 2014 as Director – Human Resources and assumed his current position in 2018. Prior to joining GTI, he held various management and consultant positions with Williams Companies (formerly Access Midstream Partners) in Dallas TX and Oklahoma City, Chesapeake Energy in Dallas TX, and Michael Page International in Chicago, IL.
Otahal earned a B.S. in Administration from Eastern Illinois University and MBA with concentration in HR from Robert Morris University.
