Ieda Gomes is an independent consultant and director of companies. She held a host of international assignments with BP plc, including Vice President of New Ventures, President of BP Brazil and Vice President of Regulatory Affairs. She was previously the CEO of Comgas, the largest gas utility in Brazil. She is currently a member of the Board of Saint Gobain Group (France), Bureau Veritas (France), Exterran Corporation (USA), Odebrecht (Brazil), InterEnergy Holdings (Dominican Republic) and the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain.
Ieda is a senior visiting fellow at the Oxford Institute of Energy Studies, a senior adviser at FGV Energia and a director at DEINFRA- Sao Paulo Federation of Industries.
She holds a degree in Chemical Engineering (Federal University of Bahia), post-graduation in Environmental Engineering (Polytechnic School of Lausanne) and a MSc in Energy from University of São Paulo.
In 2001 Ieda received the awards Veuve Clicquot Business Woman of the Year.
